Dermaplax
Dermaplax is an electronic device that operates by emitting waves that generate an alternating current of high voltage and low intensity. It emits low-frequency radio waves (50 kHz) that, through an electric discharge, provide additional energy to the gas (atmospheric air), turning it into plasma.
Based on plasma technology, Dermaplax acts by emitting alternating current to an electrode in the form of a tip located at the end of the applicator. The difference in electromagnetic charge between the electrode and the patient's skin causes the current to turn into energy upon contact with the air, creating the plasma arc toward the treated skin. The affected tissue is carbonized and replaced by healthy, revitalised tissue without marks or scars.
How does it work
DERMAPLAX emits low-frequency radio waves (50 kHz) that, through an electric discharge, provide additional energy to the gas (atmospheric air), turning it into plasma. The contact of the electrode with atmospheric air causes the skin to act as a conductive mass, creating the plasma arc that acts on the epidermis.
Plasma energy causes the carbonization of the treated tissue, limiting its destruction to the space of air through which the plasma passes.
It is a new way to correct wrinkles and skin irregularities, restore firmness, and effectively treat sun and age-related spots, fine lines around the eyes and mouth, hands, neck, or neckline. DERMAPLAX creates selective microscopic burns to stimulate collagen remodelling. Since only a fraction of tissue is treated, the surrounding tissue promotes rapid recovery.
DERMAPLAX renews the skin by stimulating the growth of new and healthy cells from the inside, with noticeable results in a short time. Complete tissue recovery with new collagen and elastin production occurs between the second and third month.

Indications
- Reduction of fine lines around the eyes (periorbital fine lines).
- Reduction of scars caused by acne or surgeries.
- Improvement of deep wrinkles (e.g., barcode lines).
- Actinic keratosis, warts, xanthelasma...
- Spots due to sun exposure or aging.
- Skin renewal.
- Whitening tattoos of any colour.
Diagnosis
Before undergoing this treatment, a complete diagnosis is carried out using state-of-the-art equipment to assess the condition of the area to be treated. Thus, our medical team can offer you a fully personalised plan tailored to your needs.
Sessions
In many treatments, a single application will be sufficient. For example, in the case of keratosis, xanthelasma, warts, superficial tattoos, etc.
For rejuvenation treatments, scar removal, wrinkles, etc. several applications will be necessary, usually 3 to 6 depending on the intensity of the lesion.
In the case of multiple sessions, they should be performed with a minimum of 15 days between them. After the treatment, a small scab accompanied by mild inflammation in the area will occur, which will subside shortly. Afterward, the skin will have an appearance as if it had a sunburn, turning pink or red.
The skin will return to its natural tone in one or two weeks. A moisturizer can be used.
Results
After the treatment, you may experience a small scab and mild inflammation that will quickly disappear. Your skin may appear reddish, similar to a sunburn, but will return to its natural tone in one or two weeks. Moisturising with cream is recommended.
Side effects are minimal. The swelling will fade soon, although redness might persist for a few more days. The risk of infection or scarring is limited. The duration of these effects varies depending on the patient's regeneration capacity and the intensity of the treatment.
Post-treatment precautions are essential. Follow the doctor's instructions for caring for the treated area. Using SPF+50 sunscreen and avoiding direct sun exposure for three months after treatment is crucial. Although the skin is not removed with a scalpel as in surgery, a similar "burning" process is applied. Rest for three days.
Each patient is evaluated by our doctor, who will provide personalized advice. Your well-being is our priority, and we are committed to providing you with the best treatment on every occasion.
