A chemical peel removes one or more layers of skin with the purpose of recovering the beauty of the face.
This technique gives the skin a rosy glow and a natural shine with fewer wrinkles and spots.
The TCA peel is based on a chemical exfoliant that acts directly on the cutaneous proteins, causing a coagulative keratotic effect on small skin spots.
With this treatment performed by an aesthetic doctor, epidermal renovation, collagen synthesis, and greater uniformity in the distribution of skin melanin are achieved. This way, it is possible to improve dermal melanosis and eliminate typical unwanted spots that are produced by an excess of accumulated melanin.
What are the benefits?
- Minimises wrinkles and expression lines, giving the face a fresher and more luminous skin.
- Combats superficial wrinkles with a light exfoliation.
- In areas such as the face, hands, neck and chest, it is excellent for repairing damage caused by the sun.
- Helps fight acne. In these cases, mild peels are used as acne is generally in the superficial layers of the skin.
- Removes small scars.
- If you have pigmentation problems, this method is excellent.
The Chemical Peel (TCA peel) is suitable for people who want to eliminate fine wrinkles, pigmentation caused by sun exposure, scars or acne. However, this type of treatment is not recommended for pregnant women or people who have recently suffered from herpes or any other skin infection.
After performing this treatment, the patient should follow a series of recommendations and precautions:
- Intensive hydration after the treatment.
- Do not perform the treatment on recently tanned skin.
- For optimal results, 1 to 3 sessions with a 1-month interval are advised.
- It is better not to perform this procedure during the summer months.
